The chill of the winter is gone. The flowers are blooming. The sun is warming the air. The bees are buzzing. Spring is finally here! Spring and summer are my favorite seasons. There are so many fun things to do! If you ever wonder what fun things to do with me on a date, besides the obvious, here are a few of my favorite things! All of these date ideas are perfect for my All Day or Mega All Day Soiree options. By the way, my birthday is at the beginning of June*hint*.
Concerts at Wolf Trap
Wolf Trap, located near Tysons, Virginia, is an outdoor performing arts center that is a part of the National Park Service. Wolf Trap has diverse offerings for the upcoming season. I think it caters to a more mature crowd, maybe age 35 or older. There's jazz, international music, opera, blues, yacht rock, classic rock, country, reggae, R&B, and even classic hip-hop. It has grandstand seating and lawn seating. Personally, I prefer lawn seating, because you can bring a picnic and your own booze, too. The crowds there are very chill and welcoming. Sometimes the people around you may even share some wine or food with you. The shows I'm looking forward to seeing are Lauryn Hill, Robert Glasper, Ziggy Marley, Boney James, and the Masters of the Mic Hip HopTour. We can enjoy great music and then make some music of our own *wink*.
Sporting Events
If you don't already know, I'm a HUGE sports fan and I love going to games. Even though the DC teams are on the mend and going through a bit of a rebuild, the games are still fun to go to. This spring and summer, the Nationals, DC United, Mystics, and even the Nationals Minor League team in nearby Fredericksburg, are playing. Also take note, I am open to visiting you in your city for a sporting event as part of a FMTY. However, there are a few teams I refuse to root for like the Phillies, Mets, or any NL East team. Don't hate me, please.
I have done quite a few game day dates and those still are the best dates that I have had with clients.
A Day at the Zoo
Ever since I was a little girl, I loved going to the zoo. I really love going to the National Zoo in DC. I've been going since I was a baby and it never gets old. I love the lions, birds, orangutans, and of course, the famous pandas. Warning, the National Zoo is very hilly and the hills really work your calves, so being comfortable and casual is the way to go.
Brewery, Winery, and Distillery Visits
DC and Northern Virginia are home to so many breweries, wineries, and distilleries. I do enjoy visiting them. I like going to the smaller mom and pop ones, where you are actually served by the owners or the people who are involved in the production. It's nice to get to know the background and inspirations behind the products. Plus the brews, wines, and spirits taste better coming directly from the source.
These are just a few of the many activities that I do enjoy during the spring and summer.
Of course, I am open to doing these activities in your city, too, just request it at least 5 days in advance. I'm looking forward to seeing you this spring and summer! If you have any questions. please reach out. I would love to help you plan the perfect spring or summer soiree for us.
